Robert C. Walker

Robert Walker is the current Commissioner of Montgomery County Precinct 1.  He was elected November 3rd, 2020, and took office January 1, 2021.

About Robert

The Walker family has lived in Montgomery County since 1876.  Robert was born and raised in Conroe, Texas.  He and his wife, Janet have been married for 45 years and reside on the land his great grandfather purchased. Robert and Janet have two children, and four grandchildren.  They have been lifetime members of Mims Baptist Church in Conroe.

Business Experience

Robert has been an entrepreneur since the 1970’s.  He was a custom homebuilder from 1976–2017, owner of a beauty shop and nail salon in 1987, owned convenient stores from 1989–1995, owner of a restaurant in 1990.  In 1993, Robert and Janet opened Walker’s Feed and Farm Supply in Willis.  Twenty-nine years and three locations later, Walker’s Feed has become a well-established business and is currently one of the largest Feed Stores in Montgomery County.

Community Involvement

1983-1992:  Willis Youth Athletic Association Coach and board member

1984-2021: Member of Conroe Lodge 748

1986-2021:  Member Montgomery County Fair Association

1990: Reserve Deputy for Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department

1993: Montgomery County Constable Reserve Deputy for Precinct 1

1994-1995: Vice President of the North Montgomery County Support group

2014-2019: President of the Willis Lions Club

2014-2020: Emergency Service District 1 Commissioner

2019-2020: Montgomery County Housing Authority Commissioner

2019: Member of the Conroe Noon Lions Club

2019: Member of the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce

2019: Member of the Conroe Chamber of Commerce

As you can see, Robert has been very active in his community most of his adult life.  Because of his devotion to his community’s well-being, Robert ran for the position of Commissioner in 2020 and received 78.99% of the General Election vote.
